So I think we were worried about this virus earlier than most... and over the past few weeks, we did intentionally stock up (we usually do a big shop every 2 weeks so we tried to get close to 4 weeks of provisions just to be on the safe side). I said at one point... If we are ready, it won't happen! Unfortunately, it is happening so I'm glad we have a full pantry. At this point we are pretty much bursting at the seams... and hopefully it will allow us to stay home for as long as possible (we also have backyard chickens who produce 3-4 eggs a day and have planted a little garden with chard, lettuce, and cabbage). We realize all of this is a tremendous privledge... so it also becomes a responsibility to help flatten the curve by staying home (which we can do because we are working from home and schools are cancelled). When schools closed, we donated to our school's food program and plan to donate to the local food bank as well. We honestly have no idea what the coming days and weeks will bring. These are crazy times and when I get anxious it is best if I have a project... so this site is a way to document how we cope, what we cook, and what we eat... we shall see how it goes! Good luck everyone!!
In no particular order (just trying to establish a starting point)...
